If you frequently use conference calling to bring your company together, you really should look into a free conference call service. No longer do you have to pay extravagant amounts of money to have a conference call. Find a company that offers toll free conference calls and then you can talk all you want for free. Not only will this bring your company together but it will also save your company lots of money.

Why Conference Calls are So Important

Conference calling is invaluable to a company that has satellite offices spread out across the country or the world. A big corporation always needs to stay abreast of what's going on with their sales people, their marketing team, their R&D team, or any other departments. Bringing these departments or offices together is easy with conference calling.

You simply dial a number and you're all taken to a virtual 'room' where you can all talk as if you're in the same room. It used to be that this cost a lot of money. Each branch had to pay for access to the room and then you had to pay per minute. With toll free conference calling, you can talk as long as you need to, sharing sales figures, delivering updates on various projects, or whatever else needs to be conveyed and it's all free.

Finding a Service

There are many companies out there who will offer you toll free conference calling. You may want to start with your current phone company to see if they offer toll free conference calling or you can go with a completely different company just for your conference calling needs.

You may also be able to hook up a service through your computer network that will allow you to enjoy toll free conference calling at all of your company's branches. With the phone business so competitive these days, many more companies are trying to gain their share of the market by offering toll free conference calling. Shop around to make sure you find a company that has what you need for as little money as possible.

Once you find a service, you'll always be able to keep up with your company's branches, sales force, marketing team, and every other aspect all in real time. Talk as long as you need to and call as often as you need to. With toll free conference calling, it's all free of charge and that's great for any company.

The Conference Call

By John Furnem

Conference calls are not a new thing, I can still remember that conference calls were held fifteen or maybe twenty years ago, but the main difference then was that this was something special, that an event has occurred that required a conference call, just the way you learned of an upcoming conference call would make you nervous.

Today things have changed significantly as conference calls are used on everyday basis not only by businesses and company managers but also by the general public and individual people. The reason that conference calls have become so wide spread is that it has become more available for people to communicate this way, conference calls rates are down and the public pays less for them, this makes conference calls a very powerful tool to use in business and marketing.

The main power of the conference call is to bring a detailed presentation of a service or even a product to a potential costumer, this is usually a situation where one company offers its services to another company, a demonstration can be synchronized with a conference call in a way that the people who are in the call will get the information and answers immediately from the people who are directly responsible for the actions they are viewing.

The conference call is particularly efficient when it comes to online services or internet services, since this is a computer based service you can have all the people involved in front of a computer screen and upload a certain program that is tailor made for that costumer needs, once the program is running you can walk the listeners through the complete process of the software and involve other experts on your part to further explain the benefits of the product.

The great advantage of the conference call is that unlike the usual "cold call" you will be able to form a relationship with a few of the people working for the other company, you can try and locate a person that you will find more cooperation with within that group and you could also control the way you make your sales by having a few of your manager on the line to make sure that the presentation is done according to the general plan that you had.

The development of the conference calls has also created a large product market, special conference phone products and companies that give full support for conference calling can be found on the market and they supply companies as well as individuals with all the services needed to conduct conference calls on a regular basis, this has led to the increase of non business related conference calls.

The latest way to use conference calls is to form social connections, for meeting other people and having the opportunity of an open discussion, this is a simple way of using this advanced idea in order to expand a phone call into a large meeting room in which people can wonder around and meet new and exciting people by phone.

How To Make A Conference Call

By Peter Leigh

It is so easy to make a conference call that many companies are now using this method to bring clients and team members together. In addition to simply using the telephone to talk to four or five people at once, you can also use web conferencing online to deliver presentations to large groups of people without having to pay for expensive travel. To make a conference call, you can, of course use the telephone and a toll free number to be able to speak and listen to several participants. What many people do not know is that you can also use the services of your Internet provider to achieve the same goal.

You do need the names and email addresses of the participants you need for the conference call and you do have to notify them of the time and date of the call. Choose "Tools" from your message browser and then the names of those whom you want to conference with. Then you click "create conference" from the drop down menu and type in the subject of this call. Then you simply click start to make the conference call. When you want to end the conference, you click on the telephone icon. You will be asked whether or not you really do want to end the conference, just to make sure that you didn’t accidentally click the wrong button.

Making a conference call involves just as much planning as calling a regular meeting. You still have to set an agenda for the meeting, which you can email to all participants beforehand. You should also create a time frame for the length of the meeting because as with all meetings discussions among the participants can take up a longer period of time than you intended. When participants know the time frame and the topic of the conference call, they come prepared and will know which pertinent questions they want to ask. It will also allow for feedback, just in case there is something you may have forgotten.

You can place conference calls within your local area or all over the globe. When you have an international conference, it is very important that you remind the participants of the country codes. For your first conferencing session or for all of them, you might want to have an operator to help you out. This person will preside over the conference and remind participants to abide by time constraints. The operator can also handle such services as recording and polling, if you need them. The first time you make a conference call may be a little tricky, but this will only show you how easy it is and you will come to rely on this feature as part of your business practices.

Choosing A Flat Rate Conference Call Plan

Author: Dean Iggo
Choosing a flat rate conference call is a smart choice for today's businesses. While it is easy to justify the benefits of services offered by conference call providers, it is important to realize that just like any other business expense it is important to review that cost and ensure that is actually providing a benefit for the company. When choosing a service provider read the contracts and service plans carefully. If the charge is not based on a flat rate, chances are you will be better off moving along elsewhere.

If the fees and charges aren't clearly stated very early on there is a high chance that there are hidden fees that can really make conferencing expenses skyrocket. It is very important when seeking out flat rate conference call providers to review all of the potential charges and the wording of the conference-calling plan. It is unfortunate, but there are a lot of service providers that are not truly interested in providing a valuable service, they are only interested in making money quickly. Providers like that will look for any way to increase the amount of the charges.

The way a flat rate conference call works, is you choose your basic level of service and then the rate is determined from that point. Basic service choices start with the calling method. Are the attendees able to call a toll free number with a pass code? Does an operator who then assists the attendee in connecting answer the toll free number? If the service uses an operator it is possible that the charges will be higher. If the callers are not given a toll free number to call, verify just what services are being paid for.

Once the services needed have been decided on, the flat will now be determined. In most cases the flat rate is basically a set amount charged per caller per minute. For example if you expect about 150 attendees at a conference, you may be charged $.10 per caller per minute. A sixty-minute call is then going to cost $900 with each caller costing a total of $6.00. Keep in mind that this example is an over simplification. If expected attendance is over a certain level you are usually eligible for a discount. Flat rate conference call providers are easy to find, just make sure to choose a good one.
